Welcome

September brings with it a few opportunities to raise awareness on thyroid conditions, with September being Thyroid Cancer Awareness Month, this week being Suicide Prevention Week (I wrote an article about the link between hypothyroidism and mental health) and Invisible Illness Awareness Week also usually occurring this month (though I can't find a date for it as of yet).
I also celebrated my 25th birthday last week which was a relaxed occasion but still managed to tire me out! I definitely take it as progression though, that I knew when I needed to rest up and recuperate following the busy-ness of it all.
With thyroid disease, you certainly learn a thing or two about listening to your body.
