I definitely fell out of my routine in a few ways, so now I'm trying to get back in to eating more healthily, sticking to a sleep routine and moving more, so as not to go backwards in my health. Have you made any New Year Resolutions?
Check out my top resolutions every thyroid patient should make.

Introducing Thyroid30®
Happy New Year!
Meet Danna & Ginny. There’s nothing especially remarkable about their stories. No close calls with death, no years in a wheelchair, no moment where the doctor told them they had months to live. But what they do have are relatable stories. They suffer with Hashimoto’s and thyroid disease, just like you. And it isn’t easy.
So, they got together and created something revolutionary to put the FUN back into thyroid healing. Introducing, Thyroid30®, designed by thyroid patients, for thyroid patients.
Built on the power of community support, this 30-day wellness adventure is a FUN way to get healthy that features game-based rewards and scoring.
Are you ready to make progress towards better thyroid health in 2019?
➤ Ready to reclaim your health
➤ Ready to reduce symptoms like fatigue, weight gain, and brain fog
➤ Ready to make 2019 the best it can be
Here’s how it works:
For 30 days, you and your teammates will track your score among different areas of thyroid-healthy living (things like eating right, staying active, and getting enough sleep). Players receive rewards and badges based on your participation and performance. Motivation, accountability, and community support are built right in so that you can finally achieve your wellness goals and successfully adopt a thyroid-healthy lifestyle.
And you’ll have plenty of resources at your fingertips:
- Expert-written articles
- Thyroid-friendly recipes
- Workouts for all levels
- Sample Meal plans
- Diet and exercise trackers
- Self-care activities
- And MORE!
There are so many things thyroid patients are supposed to do to feel better. But Thyroid30® finally puts them all in one place, and replaces the overwhelm with a healthy dose of fun.
Enrollment is only open January 3 - 13 so don’t delay. To purchase or find out more, click HERE.

A team of researchers from Brown University found that in mice, the gut microbiome regulates the host's immune system—so that rather than the host's defense system attacking these helpful bacteria, the bacteria can co-exist peacefully with the immune system.
Report on petition: Effective thyroid and adrenal testing, diagnosis and treatment
Charity Thyroid UK report that there was a debate in the Scottish Parliament in December which will be useful for Scottish thyroid patients and may be useful for patients in the rest of the UK to take to their doctors and CCGs. They don’t yet know what the outcome of the debate will be – there were calls for an enquiry.
More calls for adequate treatment and testing of hypothyroidism on the NHS here in the UK carry on.
Thyroid Awareness Month (2019)
January is thyroid Awareness Month. A month dedicated to talking about thyroid disease – the conditions and symptoms, importance of diagnosis and treatment, but also the many issues we face as thyroid patients.
