Hello Thyroid Family,

I am pleased to say that the new, updated and expanded edition of Be Your Own Thyroid Advocate, which contains new chapters, resources and more, is finally released! With new information on how I got my Hashimoto's in to remission, your diet (food and drink), thyroid flare ups, where to order testing and more, you can find it on Amazon here. Order now to get it in time for Christmas.

I've been super busy the last couple of weeks, writing and scheduling lots more blog posts in preparation for my maternity leave starting in January, but also in dropping a work day so as to ease myself in to that break. I've been battling some thoughts surrounding feeling 'bad' that I have gone part-time with work whilst a lot of other pregnant women work full-time up to their due date, but I am trying to remind myself that we are all different and have to do what works for us and our health. With my Hashimoto's, hypothyroidism and individual struggles concerning pregnancy symptoms, this is what seems to be best for me and I'm trying not to compare. I have to look after both myself and the little one, after all.

I am enjoying yoga, swimming and lots of walking at the moment which has been helping me to sleep better but also keep fit. It can be tough to still get out and exercise at this time of year, especially if you experience cold intolerance or fatigue with hypothyroidism, but any movement can still be beneficial.

As we approach Christmas, I have a couple of blog posts you may wish to check out, to help you enjoy the festive season without compromising your health. They are 6 Tips For Enjoying The Festive Season with Hypothyroidism and 3 Ways To Make a Gluten-Free Guest Feel Welcome at Christmas.

A gift guide for those with thyroid issues can be found here, which includes all sorts of things - from thyroid books to self-care items, gift boxes and crafting.

My workspace has changed in the last two weeks, as my old office space is now becoming the nursery, but my new office has a cosy carpet (as opposed to wooden flooring) and is warm. Which I can't complain about!

Wishing you all a wonderful build up to Christmas and the New Year. Look out for my next newsletter on Christmas Eve.
